Minority and Women Business Enterprise

MDG Design + Construction, LLC, provides equal business opportunities to all firms.  MDG commits to carrying out the intent of the New York State Executive Law, Article 15-A, which assures the meaningful participation of minority and women's business enterprises in contracting and the meaningful participation of minorities and women in the workforce for all our construction projects whether financed with public or private funds.
The goal of the Minority and Women Business Enterprise Policy (MWBE) is to increase utilization of minority and women-owned firms in all trades of procurement, including subcontracts, material and equipment purchases.
MDG has also incorporated MWBE goals in every subcontract financed in whole or part through the New York State Homes and Community Renewal programs. MDG advertises solicitation in minority and women focused media to make sure that qualified MWBE firms know about these upcoming opportunities. MDG also provides sufficient time for MWBE firms to review contract documents and prepare qualifying bids.  MDG is encouraging formation of joint ventures, partnerships, or other similar arrangements among contractors to insure that the MBE and WBE goals are met.  Finally MDG also encourages minority and women owned businesses to apply for certification with New York State Empire State Development.   MDG has helped several minority and women owned businesses become certified as MWBE businesses
